The color of the light, the play of sun and shadow on the mesas and mountains, the wide-open skies, the Native American and Hispanic arts and culture – This is the home of The Turquoise Lady.

From turquoise-colored cars, a turquoise-colored fur coat to her home’s decor, June’s enthusiasm for that unique color and her love of the Southwest have remained steadfast. She wanted to share that enthusiasm and her love of life, family, and friends, with readers in her charmingly illustrated memoir, “The Turquoise Lady, My Loves, Fashions, and Fortunes.”

June introduced Southwestern style and New Mexican arts culture to the Stamford, CT, business community in a very personal way. She casually and professionally dressed, decorated her home and gifted her many friends and clients at Christmas with a Western flair and her favorite color – turquoise. No wonder she is called “The Turquoise Lady!”

After a lifetime in the northeast, June and her husband, Rolf, relocated permanently to Santa Fe in 2013. It was June’s dream for many years to live full time in Santa Fe, and she is sublimely happy here. Every day she continues to wear her signature Western fashions and numerous pieces from her large Native American jewelry collection, accumulated over many decades. Her entire family, all four generations of them, are Westerners with a deep love of the West’s cultures, geography, and the arts that define it.

June’s numerous real estate clients and friends are varied and remain devoted. In the course of her still-vibrant real estate career of close to 50 years, she has continued to negotiate sales and purchases several times for the same clients from her extensive list, even to having some of their grown children coming to her for business!!
